A Traditional Children's Theater Festival by OYAK Mining Metallurgy Companies

The traditional children's theater by OYAK Mining Metallurgy Companies brought together children between the ages of 5 and 12 with art. The musical children's play 'Burnunu Kaybeden Palyaço’ (The Clown Who Lost His Nose) was held in 3 locations: Ermaden, Erdemir and İsdemir. More than 3 thousand 500 children attended to the events.

Since 2009, OYAK Mining Metallurgy Companies continues to organize free children's theater performances on April 23, National Sovereignty and Children's Day. This year, the children's theater festival, which has become a tradition, met with children in three cities where the Companies operate, as well as with the 'Children of the Republic, Future of Türkiye' mobile activity truck prepared by OYAK Group Companies for children in earthquake areas.

The musical children's play 'Burnunu Kaybeden Palyaço’ (The Clown Who Lost His Nose) was first performed by the Uygur Theater on April 26 in Sivas Divriği. Under the coordination of the District Directorate of National Education, nearly a thousand children, including pre-school and primary school students and children of Erdemir Maden employees, attended the performance, which took place in five sessions in total at the Ermaden Indoor Sports Hall in Divriği.

The second stop of the play 'Burnunu Kaybeden Palyaço’ (The Clown Who Lost His Nose) was Kdz Ereğli. Under the coordination of the District Directorate of National Education, nearly two thousand children, including pre-school and primary school students and children of Erdemir employees, attended the performance, which took place in four sessions in total at the Erdemir Culture Center.

Children's Theater met with the children of İsdemir with its 'Children of the Republic, Future of Türkiye' mobile truck. Starting with April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day until May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, OYAK’s mobile truck equipped with many educational and entertaining activities set off from Adıyaman and visited various locations in the earthquake area for a month. The children's theater was staged in a single session on May 21 as part of the activities held for two days in the İsdemir lodging area, the last stop of the mobile children's truck. More than 500 children watched the play in İsdemir.
